2019 IWWF World Waterski Racing Championships To Be Held in France
The French Waterski & Wakeboard Federation will host the 2019 IWWF World Waterski Racing Championships in Vichy, France from 7th to 15th September 2019.
Vichy is a famous spa town located in Central France, some 300 miles south of Paris, and is renowned for its eclectic architecture.
Vichy is a centre for a wide range of sporting activitities and was a popular host for the 1993 IWSF Racing Worlds. Many successful international events have since been held on the River Allier in its town centre location.
“The Town of Vichy will provide great support for this major water ski event and a warm welcome will be extended to all”, said Mike Watermann, Chairman of the IWWF World Racing Council.

BREAKING NEWS!!! 📢
This weekend took place in Germany the annual congress of the Confederation of Europe and Africa of the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation. There was a meeting between the IWWF World Racing Council and a the French Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (FFSNW) about the organization of the 2019 IWWF World Waterski Racing Championship in Vichy (France 🇨🇵). All is agreed with French Federation and the Letter of Agreement and Obligations (LAO) will signed in a matter of days.

The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) is the world governing body for towed water sports.
One of the IWWF Divisional Councils is the IWWF World Racing Council wich is responsible for the discipline of waterski racing at World level.
- To establish Technical Rules for World Titled Events and Homologated events.
- To establish practical and theoretical examinations of international judges and officials.
- To examine and approve the site, the installations and equipment as appropriate for World Titled Events.
